Almost done w/ interior (pics)

I started painting the inside of my car this week. So far this is what I got. I am going from blue to black.

Before Backseats

After

The other part of the seat

Here's a closeup, look like leather huh?

Here's the panel in the works

Some of the other pieces

one of the door panels, I am not done with the other

The console primed

Some of what I went through and gotta get more

While I was in the workshop out back, I decided to get some pics of some of my other toys

Anyways, tell me what you all think. Oh yeah the blue thats still showing is cloth. I gotta get some cloth dye for that.

Looks good. Post some pics when you are done. Are you going to have the entire interior black?

It's gonna be black with a little bit of orange, cause I finally decided to paint it an orange color.
Here's a couple of free manuals, one of them shows you how to take the headliner out.

yea arent you worried about the seats, i would never have the guts to paint seats, i know the paint is for vinyl but i would still be weary. Looks good though, hope you have better luck with your painting of the interiuor than i had with the dx.

No I am not really worried about the seats, because they are the backseats, and no one sits in my backseat. The pics are of the second coat, so it was still a little wet. After the first coat, I touch them and it felt like the regular seats. So far so good.

Yes, I sprayed my seats. It's a vinyl dye. It doesn't get hard or nothing like that. It won't chip, crack, or whatever if someone sat on them. Why anyway????? It is my car. Plenty of people dye their interior. I had it custom done to a 442 I owned and spent $800 on it and saw how it was done and now I have been saving myself some money and doing it myself. It's a different paint, but it works the same. A guy at my professional paint store recommended it. And besides it is my project car. Something that I'm learning on and f@cking around with.
