Flashing security light

Just purchased this 94. After removing the headlight housings for replacement (just coincidence) I have a flashing security light in the dash. What might this be? I don't see anything about it in the manual.

Not just the security light. The battery had drained and not when I try to jump it the engine turns over but will not start. Is there something that need to be reset?

Re: Flashing security light

Sounds like the hood alarm switch. Verify if switch and wire are connected properly and actuated when you close the hood. On my GCL 95, the switch is nearby the air filter (driver side)
You probably pull out the wire from the switch while replacing the headlight.
