ABS Scan Tool for 2002 Grand Prix 3.8
Does anyone know of scan tool that will read/reset check engine light, ABS and transmission codes for a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.8?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
The transmission codes can only be read with a high end scanner which are normally wuite expensive so no luck there. For the engine and ABS codes you can get the Actron CP9580 which will surely help you, it has many good features for the home mechanic. About 249 dlls. on their website. Another good option would be to get a craftsman scanner, I canīt remember the model but you can look it up in their website. It reads OBD II, CAN, ABS and Airbag codes. Costs about 330 dlls I think. Oscar.

I just contacted actron and they do not have a model that will read the ABS codes for a 2002 grand prix. They can read a grand am but not a grand prix. That is why i posted here to see what other options I had.

This is the craftsman I was talking about, it seems it reads transmission DTC's too, at least the product description says so...
