I am still having stall problems with my 92 deville. I noticed that I often have to move the gear shift or wiggle the key to have the car start. Could this VAT problem cause the ignition or fuel pump to shut off causing my stalling problem. How do I fix this; is it possible to do it myself. Thanks

Re: can VATS problem cause car to stall
Consider disabling the VATS system.
DIY, see Google ''Disable VATS'' If it's connected to the electric fuel pump, it will cause fuel problems. Last edited by danielsatur; 08-13-2011 at 09:49 AM. |

Re: can VATS problem cause car to stall
Once rumnning the VATS is out of the picture, keep looking around. Sounds like the ign switch or Vats wiring to it is bad, yes, as suggested you could by pass it and see what happens.
