I have a 87 f150 and i replaced the headlight switch and connector now here is the problem, i pull out the headlight switch i only have headlights and no tail lights if i push the switch in just alittle bit the i get tailights but they are dim, after about a minute of driving the lights start flashing and the truck starts jerking any suggestions???? is it a broken ground or a short in the harness??

you have a ether a rusted, rotten or a nawed threw wire ... broken wires can do amazing damage i have a friend with no tail lights but he takes shitty care of his van and does not change anything and he blames ford for his 87 econoline breaking down there should be a device that detects wire shortages check with you local best buy or autozone for the name of the device |

Re: Tail light issue
OK i figured out the proble there was a wire pinched in between the rear taillight causing it to short out. fixed wire and works fine.
