2005 Elantra Brake rotors

Does anyone know the tolerances for the rotor thickness? I need to make decide between replacing, machining or leaving the rotors alone on my girlfriend's Elantra and I don't have access to the service manual. I am already going to need to replace the pads.

usually specs are stamped into the rotor(backside)if rotors look ok
no scoring,heat marks,& didnt warp you may want to reuse them.
machining vs replacing rotors is'nt cost affective these days because
the prices are about the same.anyway rule of thumb is .060 from original spec also stamped on rotor.

I agree... If the rotors are not warped and in good shape, then you could get away with having them turned and reuse... If they are warped, I would go get a new set... A warped rotor that is machined back to true will warp again...
