I saw that. I can`t wait to get ahold of one. Where are you seeing the price?

I actually found a cheaper one at hobbylinc for $49.39 (shipping and handling not included). http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/rmx/rmx852623.htm.

Mine's been on order now for 9 months with Hobbylinc. It'll be arriving with Tamiya's Porsche 961. Now I just have to get a hold of some Rothman's decals.

Re: Revell 1/12 2010 Ford Shelby GT500

Just got mine yesterday from my local hobby store. That is a big baby.

Overall it does look pretty good but I was a little bit disappointed as there is not really more detail than in 1/24 kit and still same problem with most Revell kits: tires too tall and ride height needs correction. Price is really good so I guess it is still a good deal.

Before I actually start building the kit, I am looking for solution on wheels problem. Not easy with this scale...

Re: Revell 1/12 2010 Ford Shelby GT500

I'm a little disappointed in mine. It only comes with white stripes, so if you want to make a factory stock one you can only paint it grabber blue or red. Hopefully someone make a detail kit for it since its begging for more detail.

Re: Revell 1/12 2010 Ford Shelby GT500

We have the "after" pics, here's a few shots of what's in the box. I didn't take the sprues out of the bags because I may not build it right away, but gives you an idea of what you get and detail level. Personally I think the bang for the buck should be high. Looks like a fun car to build, and a very reasonable purchase price. Would love to see a few more street cars by Revell, like the new Camaro (would look nice next to the '69) or a Viper, early coupe version would be preferred.

Seems to be an interesting model

I took the liberty to put behind the photos name, so it is easier to look at

I'll still get one, it would make a good drag car!

I hope there will be upgrades done by companies. As it does need some more detail. Also finding 1/12 scale rims is nearly impossible as no one offers them.

For wheels and tires you guys might want to check into some of the R/C stuff out there.
