Silverado Shocks - Electronic Ride Control
Looking to replace my shocks, 2003 135,000miles on them and I haul mowers a lot in the bed. I have the ones with the wire hooked to them and button on the dash. Where can I find replacements? Most I see dont have the wire hook up. I found AC Delco ones, but would rather get Bilsteins or KYB ones......

Re: Silverado Shocks - Electronic Ride Control
I think what you have is the 2 position shock firmness switch..this controls the shock internal valve which changes firmness of ride..when the shocks go bad this switch will no longer do anything...
I have bilsteins and after about 5 years now these are still good ..also a lifetime warrantee ..they are expensive but all my vehicles have them...ride is firm, last much longer than the OEM tow pkg shocks I got when vehicle new... if you have change of load with causing bed/rear to drop get the air bags for the rear[in addition to the shocks]..with a manual air input you can adjust the height with a very small air compressor/battery combo..12volts power input ... |
