Lost comm with Transfer case module
2007 yukon obd dtc u0102. lost comm with xfer case module. symptoms are: no 4x4. No power mgmt (V8 to V4). very subtle difference when it shifts between gears. Indicator light on knob is off. The problem is intermittent, everything will start working after driving for a while. Once I shut it off and restart, the problem comes back. Anyone have any ideas? Also, where is the transfer case module located?

Re: Lost comm with Transfer case module
Goto autozone.com and lookup the schematics for it. Sounds like a power or ground issue to the transfer case module. Possibly the com wire has an intermittent short or open too. I worked with a 2003 vette that had intermittent module codes and chased that thing forever. Finally figured out that the entire harness was pinched between the seat mount bracket and the body. Electrical problems are usually pretty simple in nature. Learning how to diagnose them is 99.9% of the battle.....
