It seems that McLaren is looking to challenge Ferrari head-on for the title of top supercar on the streets.
According to a recent article from Motor Trend, on the heels of the MP4-12C, McLaren is working towards four new models to add to their lineup. The article states that "McLaren plans to follow a three-tier range, with variants such as cabrios in each tier. The MP4-12C (codename P11) is the middle tier, going against the Ferrari 458 and Lamborghini Gallardo." Get the entire story here: Quote:
As far as we're concerned, any news about new McLaren street models is good news to have. However, we want to know what YOU think. Does McLaren have a shot or is Ferrari going to be the king of the streets for a while?

Re: Four New Models in McLaren's Future?
well Top Gear just recently did a review of the mp4-12c against the 458 italia, and yes the mclaren beat it down in every category. However Jeremy complained that the mclaren gave off the aura that it was designed by science and math, and not that of a pure race bred designer. The mclaren was simply made to destroy the competition, but it does so with no passion, Jeremy and I both agree, if given the choice, the 458 would be in my driveway.
