why would they not fit? Do you have the right tranny? Youve either got the wrong axles or tranny

They fit on the tranny, but on the other side where they mount on the wheels they didt fit. I took back the axels thinking I got the wrongs ones & same thing happened. Do you know what kind of axels I should use or try again?

do the splines not fit in the hub because they are too big or what?
also on the teg axles, to make them fit you gotta take off the dust shield on the inside part of the knuckle where the axle goes through and then a small rubber ring around the axle near the boot where it goes into the hub...ill try to find an illistration

The thing with 88 hatches is that in order to get the axels to fit you would have to either

1) switch out the outer cv axels or

2) get the front control arm setup off of the teg...

The reason for this is that on a 88 civic the spline count on the stock axel is 21 and on most others it is 25...

Hope that helps

89 is a d16a1. 86-89 has 1.6L DOHC engine that resembles the JDM DOHC ZC but only makes 112-118hp.

90-93 has B18A1, 90 & 91 are OBD0, while 92-93 are OBD1. in 92-93, they also introduced the GSR model, which had a 1.7L "B17A1" DOHC VTEC engine, which is basically a B16 with a couple more ft/lb of torque.
