96 P.A. Ultra 3.8 sprchrgr/SUNROOF. WATER STILL LEAKING!! PLS HELP!

I Just bought my cousins car so she could bail her lil sister out of jail,and oh God help me! I bought it also for my wife to make a D.D. It has a sun roof. WATER KEEPS GETTING IT SOME HOW!! I sealed it up with black silicone,(sunroof,front window,back window seals. also trunk is wet as well AS FLOOR BOARDS.. I am also replacing the fuel line on the right while lookign straight down at the motor above the super charger.....The ony thing i can find is to replace the whole fuel line....ouch....I got my self into some major ish!!! Please any ideas tips,clues or anything?!?!? I am in desperate help. I am not a rich man I am a young man trying to put my life and things in order and keep my wife happy at the same time with out loosing my mind! =(-THANKS A MILLION! The water issue is my major concern! also electrical issues but those can wait. water sucks!! :runaro und:

Major bummer! If the car has that many leaks, major problems are forthcoming. Sorry, but it would be more beneficial for you to part it out, sell the parts & get another car for your wife, with the hopes to recover your investment.

sounds like car has been wrecked? take it to z/bart and see what they say i think zzzzzzz is rite.

Thanks, I dont think it has ever been wrecked before.The body is in really nice shape. just some faded paint and normal sun damage not to bad. I did some research and seems to be a few P.A. with the same problems ...Im just trying to find out how or where the H20 is getting in. I heard the sun roof drains between the metal in the car out the door jams or some ish. idk!? lmfao! ahh....Been a very Stressed day! The motor runs like a champ supercharger as well. And one INTERESTED IN PARTS? let me know! I'm willing to put the labor into fixxing this TITANIC as I the park avenue (due to the water) the floors are not even began to rust or anything of that sort. I will try to post some pics if I can on here,Not sure yet what I can do since I just made this account tonight to get some help on the car. Well if anyone has any input feel free to shoot it at me! I'll be scratching my head trying to figure it out all day tommorow..

In the PA water can come in from many different sources, like the windshield, rear window and doors. The sunroof has drains inside the car and the tubing on these can come loose.
Your car probably has several leaks. They can be fixed, but this takes a lot of time. First you have to let the car dry completely. Then pour water slowy at one point at a time and check if anything gets wet. Remember that water will collect at the lowest point, meaning the leak might be on the other side of the car. After finding a leak, everything has to be dried again because there might be more leaks ending up at the same point. If you go with the silicone method, these points have to be leak tested again to confirm it has been closed. If the window seals are bad it's hard to seal it with kit.
This can easily take a whole week.

In order to check the draining tubes you have to, at least in part, remove the headliner. The rear quarter panels also have to be removed, while you're at it, remove the rear seat too to have it dry out, it is probably very moist underneath. The rear draining tubes are between the sheetmetal behind the quarterpanel, and go down to the hole in the wheelarch. But the culprit is probably the connection coming loose behind the headliner. The draining tubes in the front would go through the beams between windshield and front door.
With an old car like these, anything could go wrong, just check this forum as a lot has been covered.

do you know where all leaks are? if not have someone inside car while you take a garden hose to it.

Yeah the back seat has already been taken out one of the first things i did. With all this crazy rain in florida I went and got a tarp for the meanwhile Was working on the fuel line today got that taken car of. So my next days off are going to be back at it again to fix the leaking. Thanks again Z. Still learning how to navigate this website,lol =)

I had a condensation problem in the trunk only, with my PA due to the tightness of the door seal fit. I hooked a small piece of curved rubber hose across the seal in the back so the ends are pointing down and haven't had any mositure problems in the trunk since.
