AC Port on 2004 GrandAm

Any pointers on where the charging port for the AC on a 2004 GrandAm is? I see one port near the radiator but the hose I used on my wife's 2000 Impala doesn't fit on it, so I assume it is the wrong port. But I can't find anything else.

You need to find the low pressure service port. Find the accumulator (silver cylinder in righ hand fender well) and follow the line back to the evaporator and to the compressor. If you don't see it anywhere in those lines, follow the other line from the evaporator to the condenser. The orifice tube that splits the high side and low side is located at the outlet of the condenser . I think it is near the firewall.

yes this port is behind the engine, pass side, right below the alternator.
sine you need your engine running this is a hot job with no room.

the exhaust headers make it a blast!

Lay on your back, wiggle under front of car--passenger side- look up behind radiator on low side line 6 inches from compressor...blue cap
