control arm issue
I am dealing with an issue with my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix SE N/A 3.8.
Recently I noticed squeeking noice from the front of the car, I located the problem to be my shot bushings. Decided to replace the entire control arm on both sides. As I was working on it, I could not get the old ball joint to come off since the nut and bolt from the ball joint just keeps spinning. Any imput would be greatly apreciated. thanks. |

Re: control arm issue
Since you're replacing the control arm and don't have to worry about damaging the b/jnt or the boot, get a pickle fork and wedge the ball joint until you get the nut off. If that doesn't keep if from turning, you're going to have to cut the nut off.
