Intake Plenum Gasket, or Valve Cover Gaskets

I have a couple of small puddles of oil sitting on the intake manifold between the injectors on the front side of the engine. It's a 2001 GP GT 3800 SII N/A. It's only got the oil pooling on the front side of the enigne. I'm wondering if this is probably indicative of just a bad valve cover gasket?

Valve cover gasket needs replaced. If it were the intake gasket you would see coolant rather than oil. These gaskets, especially if the valve cover gaskets are the originals. Usually the oil will leak from the lower side and run onto the exhaust. I would also check the area around the PCV valve as it could leak too.
