99' Malibu PLEASE HELP
99' Malibu the engine turns over but will not crank--i have sprayed gas in it and it runs good but the injectors are not getting fuel when i tested it but it will run off of spraying gas in the throttle body and it has fuel pressure up there but it seems the injectors are not spraying--after reading many many post on the forums and not having dash lights working to it just seems that maybe it is a passlock problem or an ignition switch problem -- the theft light is out it does not blink or come on at all, as are all the dash lights the gas gauge the milege non of this works -- the power windows, locks, radio, all that works--the battery is good--the fuel pump works as i tested it and it works fine--i am just looking for someone who can tell me how to get the car to start --need it to start & run normally & get custer lights & gauges working -- it be better if theft lock system never works again -so i dont have this problem anymore-- we got a bcm & ecm from a junkyard car --car still does same thing -we havn't changed the ign switch yet -what do i need to do ?

You need to see if you have sufficent fuel pressure (40 psi min.) at the rail first the Passlok system is not the issue usually if it cranks. 3.1 engine we " assume"?

it is not starting or cranking it is spinning over--it does not crank

Just a matter of terminology, in the repair industry cranking is the engine turning over or " spinning", starting is the result of the engine cranking if all is ok, so check for proper fuel pressure at the rail. Again 3.1?

the fuses are good I was going to take it to the dealership today for a diagnostic test and got bored lastnight so i went out there playing with it it had a new ignition switch witch when i bought it so i didn't even look but one of the wires was very very loose, i re did the wiring and everything came on did the steps to recode it and bam she drives like a dream who knew loose wire
