Yes, they'll be fiberglass, but its not for subs. It's for my 6.5" two-way rear-fill speakers.

Here's the one that I've been working on for my subs... Started it last year, but never finished it...

More info on that in this thread:

Well, it's not a hassle... I have the OEM rear speaker mounts, but I decided to make custom ones so that it looks nicer...

That is some of the coolest work I have ever seen. it would be great to do a little how to on your fiberglass work. I would like to get into creating a fiberglass sub box for the hatch but I have never worked with the stuff before.
Ohh and what are are your plans for your stock speaker holders?
Are you looking to sell them?

Reminds me of that show car alpine built out of that 2002 Civic SI. Man.. that car was crazy, one seater and everything, w/ enough ICE to make you go deaf from just turning it on. I think a magazine did a article about it, said it was estimated to be about $250,000.

The Alpine website also has a good article on that car.
A co-worker of mine knows the 2 guys that built that car.

Thats just what i was going to say, go to Alpine's website, and they got how to's for both those cars ( CIVIC si & RSX ) Great info for both cars. And i got that mag. you were talkin bout, perdy crazy. That stuff isnt really that hard, its jus no one likes projects that require time, patience, and thinking Im doing my Trunk show car like, making my custom boxes right now too. Out of Cardboard, and my dad owns a woodshop for cabinents w/his friend, and they got all the extra wood i could need. The real wood you use for boxes, i made the sub box , speaker boxes for trunk, and now workin on a box that goes into the spare wheel well for my Air ride kit, whatever its going to be ( air bag, strut, etc ) But the box will be universal for either of em' , so i jus gotta get that done, then im makin peices that fit in for the fiberglass molds, gonna "show" it up ! cant wait, just need the time
