Maxima Related- check out the proposed new I35

What a disgrace to the beautiful I35/I30. WTF is Nissan doing to the Maxima line?????? They're screwing everything up. The Maxima is one of the cars that kept Nissan from going bankrupt, and now its like they want to ditch it. That pisses me off. :zx11pisse :zx11pisse :zx11pisse
This is the Euro version of the Maxima/I35 and looks to be the next I35.
What a damn shame.

Opinions.............

I like it. The 2004 Maxima needs a new grill, it looks like its got buck teeth. The I35 here looks just like a 4-door G35, except maybe a little longer.

It nice but only problem is I would make the front grill look a little more like the G35 or FX series cars then it would be nicer.

i wish they'd start leaning back towards the 4th gen styling.

i think that's better looking than the 2k4 max but i still don't really like it.
it's that kind of styling that's gonna make people choose the newer 300 lexus'

Its all about what they think the public wants. Apparently, they're selling pretty well, so Nissan did their homework on this one.

Its still ugly, though.

Agreed.... I like the new Max, yeah the grill is messed up, but that can be fixed aftermarket... other than that I think it's damn sexy. MUCH better than the 5th Gen... I liked the front but the rear was FUBAR. If they could have just redone the rear it would be better... but then I guess that would make it a 5th 1/2 rather than a 6th Gen :smoka:

who wants to spend $1000 to "fix" a stock blunder that makes the car hideous. i would never buy a car that "needed " upgrades to be driveable

It drives as is... if it didn't they wouldn't sell. It's not THAT bad... moreso what are they going to do? Put out a 7th gen NEXT year or something?

daewoo's and hyundai's drive as they are but they're still ugly hunks o' shit and they still sell them(i think they stopped making daewoo's though). thrasher's right. it shouldn't need aftermarket work to look good. i think they're flat out ugly and they're getting a little too big too. i don't really like where nissan is taking the maxima. just my opinion.

Well in my opinion the 5th Gen's have an ugly ass, but I would still drive it, it's nothing that affects the performance of the car or the physical drive-ability.
