Camaro drive by wire problem

I have an issue with a 2000 Camaro, was torn apart to fix lifter noise. While apart, cleaned throttle body. Now car won't stay at idle, either won't hardly run or if you touch the throttle pedal it screams to about 3 to 4 grand. Any ideas? Do I need to run a reprogram, teach for the throttle and computer???

Caution - When cleaning a electronic Throttle body with a drive-by-wire system, don't mussel the throttle plate open otherwise the calibration is lost.

Was Very gentle. Found the problem, vaccum line to the brake booster was disconnected. Thanks for the info!!

Usually you want the engine off, but the ignition key in the on pos.
Let a helper push the acceleator pedal down, the Drive-by-signal will open the throttle plate for proper cleaning.

with lifter noise using marvel mystery oil at 1 oz per qt of engine oil capacity slowly removes these carbon deposits causing the lifters to bleed off/or not hold proper oil....

obviously changing your oil when dirty and using non fram high quality oil filters like wix,purolator plus,or ac delco is the way to keep the engine running smooth and clean internally...

with these new engines use 100% synthetic oil at the proper recommended viscosity for your engine.

Engine was torn down to get lifters out, took them apart, cleaned them and put back together. This car had a dead cylinder, Marvel mystery oil would not solve the mystery. Sludge formed in the engine from a bad seal on the throttle body, caused coolant to get into the crank case.
Have used Mobile 1 since it was out of break in period. Car runs great now.

you never mentioned a coolant failure causing your engine issues..

coolant in the oil will cause more than lifter issues..

Oil was not like chocolate syrup , (which it would look like if significant amount was in the oil) looked just fine. Will be changing oil, and then changing oil again in a thousand miles, just to be cautious..
