mr2 vs. camero zsumthin...

quick kill...
In my friends 91 mr2 (turbo) pull next to a camero zsumthin.. we are at the light and the camero revs so my friends revs also but hes only running 6psi at the time so at first the camero gets us but at the second light he ups the boost to 14psi revs the car again no the guy in the camero hears "phiisshh " and a pop cause he has stright pipes on the car.. the light turns green he hits the gass on the mr2 the car jumps foward had the camero by like 2 car lenghts...

good times

i love turbo!!!

no he hasnt gone to the track..

he has intake, stright pipes, b.o.v. greedy intercooler, apex-i afc, nology wires, and denso spark plugs, hks cam gears, and he had his cpu tunned.
also a preforamce clutch and flywheel.

the camaro didnt look that new tho like a 97-98 shape i think i dont know to muck about american cars tho.. it could of been a poser with a z28badge who knows all i now is he didnt expect us to pull on him like that!!!

6 "Camero"s

97 and 98 look destinctly different, and have two different engines in the Z's (LT1's vs. LS1's). My best is a 13.58. I know I can get a couple more tenths off of it with a good launch, new tires, and more practice (only five runs under my belt). Good kill by the way

Must have been an older Z that the guy didn't know how to drive. I've raced three MR2s in my 2000 Camaro SS that I can remember. These races were never even close. Of course, your friend must have a turbo upgrade to run #14??? I'm not sure because all I deal with is normal aspiration.

Yeap, like he said, the 97 and 98's look distinctly different. Did the Camaro you raced have round "bubble-like" headlights?
And you BlkCamaroSS...Go back to the track immediately and pull a 13.2 please, that 13.5 is just pathetic! j/k, hehe
