A54 vibrant red to RAL code?

Hi guys. I want to paint my GTR with vibrant red and I want to buy it in a spray can coz I want quickie job. do you know about some cross reference chart or RAL code for A54 vibrant red? in Slovakia there isnt hallfords or similar product. Thanx for any help

Hi thanx for reply. paint is called vibrant red as stated in title its used on GT-R or 370Z and it has code A54 in nissan paint guide

Hey man.

Unfortunately I do not have cross reference charts for automotive paints (only for modelling paints).
I had a go on internet and it is hard to find smth. like you need.
Everywhere they say that Vibrant Red is A54 thats all.

Maybe go to Nissan car salesmen and ask about some paints info.
You could use automotive paint for your model, or try to find modelling paint that is best match.
I saw Nissan paint markers but I do not remember if there were any spray cans.

Anyway I am sorry I could not help, but if I come across some useful stuff in nearest future I will let you know.

Thank you anyway. Its no problem for me to mix original A54 shade but I am lazy to use airbrush. spray can is much quicker. Tamiya indicates TS8 italian red so u can find maybe RAL code for this paint?

Hi.
All manufactures name their colours unique.
It is quite hard to find relevant colours in RAL.
Information about cross-reference with RAL is hard to find.

I don't know why it's so hard with automotive paints, maybe manufacturers treat their shades as theirs (they own the rights to use it or something else), so they keep colour numers secret heh. Also finding a colour match for a real car would be the same.

According to this site your colour is something around RAL 3001 or RAL 3020

TS8 is Italian Red, I don't have cross-ref of Tamiya with RAL but I have Revell cross-ref with RAL.
On this basis from Revell's catalog I assume Fiery Red (31) and Ferrari Red (34)are the closest match.
From there I know these RAL numbers.

paint is home. 3020 pretty good matches italian red, 3001 is too bright. Thank you very much again

Can't help about Vibrant red but I can say that 3020 is also the RAL code for Bastos liveries... normally it should be lighter thanb TS-8...

you should write earlier I didnt tested it right now but assuming from cap color its OK to me. If it will be too bright I can still use grey primer under it

If it's ok for you then don't pay attention to what I said, but I had to say it in case it could be usefull to know 3020 is Bastos RAL code to get an idea of what color it brings once painted.
