Autometer Boost Gauge install

Ok i got a dilema!!

I followed a bunch of instructions on the web to
install my boost gauge to replace the factory one
that doesnt work.

The nylon hose is hooked up to a vaccum hose
under the snout but i get nothing on my gauge.

2002 GTP 3800 Series 2 Supercharged

I was told i was supposed to T into a line near the
throttle body

Re: Autometer Boost Gauge install

I guess you can follow the line from the fuel pressure regulator to the throttle body. That would be the right place.

Re: Autometer Boost Gauge install

There is a vacuum line under the supercharger snout that T's. You need to tap into this line. One side geas to the MAP, other side goes to the Fuel pressure regulator and the Boost sensor.

If your factory boost guage isn't working, and your new guage isn't working, are you sure you have Boost?

you will see a black vacuum line right under the sc snout. follow it to the back of the engine and T into it there. The line is right above the valve cover...you can see mine in the picture

Re: Autometer Boost Gauge install

Just to make sure, is the gauge working?

Anything happens when you suck (creating vacuum) on the hose?

Maybe you got a bad one?

Re: Autometer Boost Gauge install

I dont think it is a bad gauge, i doubt a person back blow
hard enough to get a reading but my friend blew as hard
as he could and you do see the needle go almost to 1 psi

also my gauge just reads 0-35 psi it doesnt read vaccum
