original post below, Now, I find out there are baffles inside tank that are loose and maybe stopping gas flow. Is there a way to take all the baffles out; or get a small tank to just get me thru. I have limited income and this old caddy still does not burn oil and get 25+mpg, thanks.
I have a 92 deville 4.9 liter; the car continually stalls/hesitates\won't start, unless I hit the bottom of the fuel tank. Is there a way I can install a fuel pump and sending unit that is NOT in the tank? And, what are the codes that will tell me if the pump or sender, etc. is bad. thanks Last edited by mnrumpole; 06-07-2011 at 10:59 AM. |

Re: fuel pump/sender help
In 92 there are no codes for the fuel pump failure. I do not beleeve what you suggest will work as you would, without running a straight pipe into the tank, be able to use an external pump.
