Favorite gen Maxima

Which is your favorite generation?

Mine is the 3rd, even though it doesnt have as many mods available to it, i think it looks a little better.

dont get me wrong though, 4th and up are still HOT!!

I voted 4th Gen, but I like the 5th gen's VQ35DE, if only it had a direct throttle linkage and not a "drive by wire" type.

The majority of people here are 4th-genner's, so this poll is a little biased.

i owned to 4 gen max`s (96 &99) 99 is a stick shift 96 was auto. i love the style of the 4 gen but what i hear the 3rd gen was definately a more truely 4DSD. gotta get more facts on this, but regardless still a maxima.

I'd say the vq's torque makes the 4th gens and up sportier than the 3rd's and i think the lightweight of the 4th gen makes them the sportiest out of all the maxima's.

i'm not totally biased. my family also owns a 93 gxe.

The 93 GXE was quite weak compared to the quite capable SE.

yeah, only 160 hp. but it makes those horses work. i'd take a 5speed 160 hp max over a 5 spd 160 hp civic si anyday.

I'd take a 190 hp 5-speed 3rd gen over both of those, oh wait, I have one.

Smile 4&5

I like 4&5 gens, even though I don't own a Maxima.
I like Maximas, but not as much as my wrx.

favorite gens

I owned a first gen. the one with the talking lady. It was okay and cool back then but nothing special.

I thought the 3rd gens looked pretty smooth. Took a few rides in one, Nice leather seats and interior.

Bought a 4th gen back in 97, and will never part with the car.

Didnt like the looks of the 5th gens, but a few years later it grew on me. would take a 2003 model

6th gen's dont know what to say, im sure its a great car

Bottom Line: my 97 and the 03 Maxima SE's both manual. those are the best to me. I would love the extra horses.
