exhaust recommendations...

just seeing what exhaust you guys recommend. overall sound isn't important, just whatever you had good experiances with.

No good custom exhaust shops in your neck of the woods? Thats what I did the first time, and thinking about my next exhaust, thats probably what I will do again.

Except this time, I will get mandrel bent links and have them welded.

ask around the boards and most likely you'll come up with apexi n1, apexi n1 duals and blitz nur spec. esp. for turbo applications

Hmmm.. a sense of individuality? There's nothing wrong with brand name...

...it just bothers me that everyone has it. Plus, its over-priced.

yeah, paying $450+ for and exhaust is kind of annoying. what would the price comparison be?

My friend just got an exhaust put on his SE-R... Mandrel bent 2 1/4 inch piping, High flow cat, and they also welded on his muffler he already had. Cost him something like $445. I think he got raped, but at least he has a full 2 1/4 exhaust from the header back...

my top choice is the GReddy DD. 2 pipes sticking side-by-side straight out the back of the car, no cannister. it looks incredible. but they're rare in North America, so if i can't find one, i'm probably going to go with Blitz Nur Spec R or GP Sports, maybe St.May's Shotgun. mostly because no-one has those yet. everyone and their grandmother has an Apex'i N1...not that their not good exhausts.

most after market exhuast has some kind of resonator. so that will sorta restrict power. and yes around 400+ dollars is what a good custom exhaust will cost you, but trust me if you see someone good do it, its worth it. the shop that i work at use mandrel bends and you get to choose any muffler you want. people usually use apexi universals. i think the custom also weights alittle less csaue the ones that the shop makes are really freakin light. and apexi exhaust are generally pretty heavy. i think a well made custom exhuast performs almost as good as a name brand one. but i guess you can brag more if you got a name brand, and such.
