can a dual din stereo fit in a 1996 Legacy?

Hi Folks,

I am considering getting a dual din stereo for our 1996 Legacy L wagon. It has the OEM am/fm/cassette head unit on top, and OEM single cd player below. together, they seem, about dual din size.

I like two stereos, that 1. are cheap/affordable and 2. have a ton of features.
I am hoping, of of these can fit in the OEM slot.

I'd take any ones opinions on the radios/brand/manufacture of features too.

any feedback, or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
