engine hard to turn when warm

just got done putting new intake an plenum gaskets on my gta tuned port 350.only driven once but when i did after shutting off an trying to start it barely will turn over then finally goes.i think timing although its at 6 degrees as calls for.i do have a jet chip wondering if i need to advance timing or retard?or is that even cause
