engine swap
hi im wondering if a 305 HO engine out of an 83 Trans am will fit into a 92 s10 and if it would be worth doing

Yes, it will fit with some massaging. You might be able to squeeze in shorties or Tri-Y headers, or be stuck with cast exhaust manifolds. You will need a custom driveshaft. You will also likely need a different axle to handle the torque, and possibly a different means of controlling the axle so power goes to the pavement instead of just hopping the rear axle. There will be lots of hidden costs beyond the engine and trans, although the '93 and older S-10 trucks are a lot easier to swap than the later platform.
However, the L69 from the '83 TA is really nothing special, and may not be as desirable as you might think. Consider using an '87-later auto (not truck) block to get the benefits of a roller cam, improved rear main seal, and likely better heads (if factory).

Doesn't it put out less power than the '92 4.3 Vortec? And consume more fuel?
