Re: Ferrari 250 swb
Such a great car! Blackened panel lines look a little too heavy to me but other than that very nice! One of my favorites.

Re: Ferrari 250 swb
Definitely a car we don't see often enough built here so thank you for sharing.
I've also got one of these that I really should finish one of these days.

Re: Ferrari 250 swb
Very nice! I'm dying to build the two I have; one will be street, the other a vintage racer. Not the easiest model to acquire, have no idea if it will ever be reissued. The Gunze kit is kind of weird, and the AMT/Esci kit isn't good.

Re: Ferrari 250 swb
That looks fantastic! What paint/finishing technique did you use? The wheels also look very impressive - are they from the kit?
I must admit, I assumed that the Italeri and Esci kits were the same, but obviously not! I have a Gunze and an AMT, and I plan to use the latter to put an engine in the Gunze... I saw some awesome 250 SWB racers at Donington last weekend, and they look a lot more aggressive in the flesh than in pictures - much lower and sleeker. Can I suggest taking a few pictures of your model from further away and lower down, and then cropping the image tight to the model? That way you'll see better the true proportions of these beautiful cars. Great job - you can never have enough classic Ferraris, and classic Ferrari models, and I think that (for me anyway), the 250 SWB is the MOST classic Ferrari of them all... bestest, M. |

Re: Ferrari 250 swb
What a work of art. Your model gives this beautiful car justice. I really like the rims also.
