peugeot 207 S2000 1/24 Sollberg Monte carlo 2011

The pug 207 from Belkits. The decals are made by colorado. Both are of very good quality but i had some remarks with this kit.. I have already discussed these with the people from belkits last weekend and my remarks will be taken into account by the Fiesta. Considering it`s there first kit, it`s a very good one. Every part fits perfectly, and it is a kit that even beginning builders can build. It`s very easy to build.
Some remarks :
Front wheels should be able to turn, i miss PE for the mirrors. The seats and steeringwheel could use some more detailling. And the rollcage should be a little thicker. All these things will be solved when they bring out there second kit. The pics, kit was build oob :

Excellent model. I have been waiting for a finished 207 S2000 to appear before deciding to order one. It appears to me that the wheels are too far inside the wheel arches - or is that just the photos? Overall though, I think I will have to order one.

Agree... please dottore, can you take the wheels a little out off the arches please?

Re: peugeot 207 S2000 1/24 Sollberg Monte carlo 2011

Hey guys,

you`re absolutly right. The wheels should come a little more out off the arches. But this was a quick oob build, just to see how everything fits, to see the small mistakes and to see how the colorado decals fit. I`m going to build another one in a little while. In that build i`m going to correct al the small faults. Nice way to compare.

Nice build !!
did you correct the roll cage ? it doesn't seem so thin once build...
I'm really happy to have this kit, also waiting for a decal set depicting a car closer to my collection core, world championship, but I may come back to the 2008 livery of the french team if I can get a decal, hopping they fit well as they were designed for the resin kit...
do you know something about this eventual compatibility of the two models by hazard ?

The roll cage is the one from the kit. And i know that it looks to small but it is the actual scaled sized. It looks quit alright once built.

Witch livery are you talking about? I have checked out some of the aftermarket sets and i now people who build them. So i should be able to help.

Fantastic looking model! The livery looks very nice as well. Agree with the wheels getting too far inwards, but great job other than that. I'm also seriously considering buying this kit to build Bouffier's car.

Cheers,

Looks really good! Can't wait to get one (or two or three). I wonder if the roll cage and front suspension can be replaced with Tamiya parts?

Thanks for your reply and PM.
the roll cage look is indeed not so bad once built, as I said it doesn't look so thin once build even if knowing it is...

I was talking about 2008 livery, the car of french team vouilloz/Klinger.
domino released the resin kit and I think the decals alone also.
That's the version that interest me the most, I didn't see the car racing but I had the chance to be part of 2 days testing in eastern France and saw the car running two whole days !!

To answer your PM question I saw on ebay a 1/43 decal for the Delecour version, but not yet 1/24 decals...

Great quick build.
Most points concerning this kit have already be touched upon by the others, so I'll just leave it at that.
Already looking forward to your "extended" build. Hopefully you'll be posting a WIP on this forum of it?
