'34 Ford 3-window Coupe progress...

Hi all. I'm building this to try to overcome modellers' block. It's a simple snap/screw kit but hey, it's still a model right?! Color suggestions are welcomed. This is probably one of very few progress threads you'll ever see me make.

Me like!!!

i love these older street rods and stuff.

cut the hood out and make it with a open hood so you can see the engine detail.

gloss black
Gloss red

or a exotic color like some type of pearl blue or yellow

The ultimate color for this beuatiful R34 are:

1.Yellow
Nothing to eb said...it's yellow...

2.Blue with white-yellow-orange flames!
Drawing, masking and painting them will be a diferent experience hat could easily get you started again...It's a great feeling to see such a difficult paintjob complete...

3.Blue with white-lightblue-dark blue flames!
The same as above...

4.If you go the 'new' way a light orange pearl or a light purple will do the job and with the chrome alloys will give you a hot car...

This are the best colors out there..THe only one left is the rat road look but I doesn't seem you are after it so...Have a nice built...

I hope I helped you a bit

Great work until now...

P.S:What kit is that? What was the pirce?

Thanks all, I paid $5 for the kit and added the wheels and tires from another kit. I think it's gonna be yellow unless I get pissed and step on it first. It's the Revell "Wheels of Fire" snap kit.

Thumbs up

Yellow? Man that thing is screaming for a coat of flame RED

Great job on the interior...the door handles/window cranks in BMF?

Keep the progress threads alive! I for one get a kick out of watching other kits "come to life". So keep use posted!

people around here getting interested in hot rods now huh? can anyone say "VARIETY"? it's nice to see a good mix of kits getting built now. I say do a deep purple gloss, or a light blue gloss. no flames, no graphics, nice and subtle.

Thumbs up Perfect kit for fun building!

You picked a perfect kit for recharging your batteries. It's a simple, good-looking model that takes detailing in any level you give it. I had a blast building mine a couple of years ago.

I built mine w/a modern, conservative color scheme, and "newstalgic" wheels/tires (from the Modelhaus). Some Replicas and Miniatures of MD photoetch (windshield frame and banjo steering wheel), and a lowering job on the front end were all it took to get a really tasty model. Yours will look great w/the modern rims. I'd be tempted to two-tone it in a charcoal gray or black over silver, for a more high-tech look. But that's just me...

I've got another one of these (a half-price special from Hobby Lobby) that I want to make into a rat rod.
