Muffler Bracket? Hanger?

I was wondering what the rubber bracket / hanger holding up the muffler is called. I have a 2000 Windstar and i need to replace these. Is it a dealer item? Any help appreciated. I've tried local part stores and getting nowhere

Re: Muffler Bracket? Hanger?

The rubber piece is called the exhaust isolator. The hanger/bracket is called the exhaust hanger. The parts counter guys should be able to bring out both pieces and you can pick which one you need.

Re: Muffler Bracket? Hanger?

You can get them at most autoparts stores, autozone has them for about 3 dlls each (maybe less)

Oscar.
