I have a 76 250 Highboy Camper Special that I'm turning into a Monster Mudder. How should I change the old Manual steering to Power and still be able to use old linkages. Would Hydr ram steering be a good way to go, how expensive/complicated would it be though. Just looking for some Ideas here Thanks All!

Re: Manual to Power Steering swap?
Don't know for sure about Penn, but in most states hydraulic ram type steering IS NOT street legal at all. If trying to maintain that visit the scrap yards and rig something up. If that isn't a concern by all means a hydraulic setup is by far preferrable when dealing with big tires and such..

Re: Manual to Power Steering swap?
yea street legal isnt going to be an issue "No Title" gonna be a trailer Queen. I'm gonna have to find some info od a hydr. ram setup, I'm not familiar with that but would rather it if it's cost effective. Deff considering rear axle steering as well, If any 1 knows about or has done it let me know.
