1998 Taurus shifting issues

I have a 98 Taurus and my transmission is shifting hard. The O/D off light comes on and starts blinking when it goes into third gear. It also appears that it isn't shifting into O/D. Recently had transmission pulled due to the seals blowing, the input shaft was warped and ended up having it replaced and had a new torque converter installed plus the new seals. O/D worked prior to tranny issues. Just blinking O/D light, No check engine light.

Re: 1998 Taurus shifting issues

How recently was the transmission installed? Did they offer any warranty that hasn't expired yet? Have you checked the transmission fluid level? You might at least take it back there and have them pull the diagnostic codes for the transmission.
