Re: Red Diesel

Ive never known red diesel to hurt a motor. I know of a few people that run it in their farm trucks. I know that it will void your warranty if something should happen to your motor.

Re: Red Diesel

Farm diesel or colored diesel, is red so it can be proven if you payed the road tax they put in the normal price of fuel. Farmers get a break on the tax because they don't run their equipment on the road. The dye will not harm any diesel engine is what i was told by the oil company rep.

Re: Red Diesel

I personally wouldn't run it only because the newer diesel engines on these dodges are so incredibly touchy, any little difference in the gas could potentially mess up something like an injector (which run at $900 a piece) I wouldn't risk it myself, and this gas may not be inspected and regulated on as well as regular pump gas.Chrysler also had bulliten a while back saying not to run this stuff.
