nissan sileighty

hi guys, im a newb here so this is one of my first posts.. ive been modeling off and on for 3 years. made up my mind that im gonna build a full custom this time around. im going to order a bunch of syrene and stuff soon so i can get sarted.

heres what i got

no motor sadly so idk what im gonna do there. but it gives you odd parts. it has pop up headlights, and a bumper for pop up headlights, bu theres noplace to cut the hood for the lights and a LHD center consol, bu no LHD dash soo lol

my favorite part of the kit

17" BBS mesh style wheels, there amazing, the bes looking wheels i have.

bu reason being its full custom is im going to do a headlight conversion (silvia lights to pop ups" gutted, roll cage.. anddd

turning this

into this

yes im truckin it.. should be fun

Aren't you just going to end up with an RS13 180SX? The whole point of a Sileighty is that it doesn't have pop-up headlights.

well yeah, but theres nothing in teh kit to make it have pop ups, im not a huge silvia front end fan, id rather do a S14 kouki front swap.. so yeah it would be a 180sx truck when im done with it if you want to be technical

Re: nissan sileighty

Fujimi has done the 180SX, Silvia and Sileighty, they have been reissued at different times and share alot of the same componets between the three kits. You can use the spare parts as trading fodder for future builds.

yeah i plan on building a silvia so i can make a replica of what my 1:1 92 240sx coupe will look like so the spare parts would help a ton.

anyone know where i could find a SR20, RB20, 25, 26 or a LSX series motor?

Re: nissan sileighty

Good luck with this. I'm still working on my Sileighty/Onevia projects. They've been on hold for three years now. haha.

Re: nissan sileighty

guess ive been working on this a little again finally haha. got teh chassis put together box stock, then decited a year later to rip it apart and rebuild it lower/ better. also gonna be opening the hood, but just 1 problem.. the motor, idk what to put in it, i dont have a SR20, or RB motor for it, my 2 LSX motors are already in use for my turbo camaro and 02 silverado tow rig. any ideas what to put in it? i bought a buick GNX a while back since it was stupid cheap. but i want to build it since its one of my fav cars out of the 80's. i got a crap ton of old small blocks but i want something more "modern" in it.. any ideas?. anyway, il have pics up son, just finally getting back to work on this.

BTW looking at your guys WIP's your deff ALOT better then me. dont expect this to turn out "showroon perfect" im not good at scale fabrication, 1:1 fab im good tho lol but not scale.

Re: nissan sileighty

Well Aoshima has made SR20DET, RB20DE(T) and RB26DETT upper halves, which can be adapted to your Fujimi S13 with a little work. While the standalone engine kits are becoming hard to find, you can get them in their Silvia, Cefiro/Laurel/Skyline GTS, and R32 GTR kit respectively. Tamiya's Z32 Fairlady and R32 GT-R also come with a detailed engine.
