Trumpeter Ford GT40 Chassis Corrections
I am mocking up with bits of 3 x 5 card, how I would correct the GT 40 chassis. As folks may know, the assembly of this is nearly identical to what I saw in a pricey 1/12 die cast made in China. As a result, the old IMC kits were more accurate in the depiction foth chassis.
I am planning to correct the cockpit length in sheet plastic and extending the foot well, making a new pedal assembly which will hide part of the peg holding the upright, removing the nylon bridge, keeping the screws and using epoxy on the nylon suspension mouning points. On the rear, I want to sheet in the missing bits of the side pod and make a completion of the rear cross member that the kit only does the top portion. Is anyone else thinking along these lines?

Re: Trumpeter Ford GT40 Chassis Corrections
In my case, I did none of that as it all is virtually invisible when fully assembled. That's why Trump. didn't either-the engineering involved would add greatly to the kit price.
