Dodge Dakota 2001 Misfire on Cylinder 1...
Recently I have been having misfire on cylinder 1 and a couple multiple misfires. I have replaced spark plug wires (replaced twice, thought possible bad wire from new), rotor, distribtor cap, spark plugs, coil pack. I had taken it to a garage to have the injectors cleaned with new seals, o-rings, mainfold gasket replaced because it was leaking, pcv valve cleaned, oxygen sensor replaced, fuel rail cleaned. This did help alittle. Now I do not get any multiple misfires, but now I get a consistent misfire on cylinder 1, when it misfires (on occasion). What does you think would be the next thing to do?

checked engine compression, or you can swap injectors with another cylinder

Re: Dodge Dakota 2001 Misfire on Cylinder 1...
So I did do compression tests on all cylinders... It seems that they are around 72 PSI. Is that normal? Doesn't seem like it is a head gasket. Just yesterday, before the compression test on cylinders... I had the truck have a multiple misfire with cylinders 1,3,5. So now I dont think it is an injector problem now... What else could it be?
Thanks in advance, marauder12 |
