99 durango battery drain

i just got a 99 durango and every morning i have to boost it in hot or cold weather but it starts fine all day so i replaced the battery and still doing it, plus when i boost it the durango dosent start right away it starts then stalls like its not getting fuel so i replaced the fuel filter and still the same thing, i cant see any lights on or anything running when truck is off.

any ideas on why it keeps draining every night would help greatly i love the durango and would hate to get rid of it, it has the 5.2l v8 318ci

How many miles on your D, and when was last time it was tuned up?

The symptoms you describe are indicative of a bad battery, but since you have replaced that, you should be good to go there.

IIRC, the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank. Did you drop the tank to replace the filter? If so, I would have replaced the fuel pump also. Could be an aging pump as well.

with the vehicle off,remove negative battery cable.set volt meter on dc volt
setting,neg lead to neg battery post & positive lead to negative cable.this will
show if there is a drawl in the system.make sure there is no light on hood
if so remove the bulb & all doors are closed.if you see a drawl start removing fuses 1 at a time,until drawl drops, about 1 v is normal.

fixed the issue it was the rear wiper motor

could you please elaborate? I have had a battery draining (very very slowly) issue since I have had my 99 durango for 2 years now. I put a new battery in and i can already feel that one slowly dying. would really appreciate knowing exactly what you did. thanks
