Do I need a new Radiator?

Noticed a small stain on the ground and looked under Blazer and saw it is Antifreeze...popped hood and noticed drivers side of tank has small amount running out when it gets warm...loses less than a pop can in a 70 mile round trip...my worry is its on the tranny cooler side...

Yes I can see it coming from in front of rad on those fins running toward the back until it drips....local pick a part said a 90 day warrantee on used rad for 65 bucks...thinking just for safety sake I am going to do it...

Re: Do I need a new Radiator?

Ya i'd check how much they where brand new, also not for a blazer but i baught one not even 2 weeks ago for my car, only like a 100 bucks brand new. If it is much more i'd go with the local pick a part, Better safe than sorry...
Good luck!

I would just buy a new one. You dont know what kind of shape the used one is in. I think mine was about $130 a few years ago.

Re: Do I need a new Radiator?

The front of the tank that is directly across from the upper hose is the hottest part of the Rad. That is where the hot coolant hits as it exits the engine and enters the rad. Very common to crack the tank there and leak. Buy a new Rad. You'll be alot better off.

Re: Do I need a new Radiator?

Pick one up new off of ebay.

I've bought three so far (two for 96 blazer's and one for a 00 S10)

Here's one for $74.99 with shipping included

They didn't give you any converters? I know on a lot of aftermarket radiators have adapters (I know all three of mine did.)

Nope....thing is the parts store where I bought it is 30 miles away....the local shops here told me 3 to 4 days till they could get it and was 50 bucks more and they wanted me to pay shipping costs which would have put it 75 bucks more than o'reillys......I like to support local but sheesh...you gotta compete a little bit...
