Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

This is looking promising, I just hope you can get the rear end fitment figured out.

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

I love 370z. I will be keeping an eye on this to get me rolling on my next one. Good start so far. How are the wheels on this kit?

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

I had my eye on this tkit on ebay for a while, didn't get it and went with a jetmodel tkit. Your progress looks promising like stated before, great fix.

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

Hello guys...

@cjsbosox
Wheels are not bad.. rear wheels are larger than front wheels.. and if i'm not wrong it looks like 19"..

@Midmazar it's a nice transkit.. no visible bubbles.. it's ok..

Follow some small progress

First problem .. It suppose to have something to fit the chassis to the body.. or not??

Second problem.. if something is missing at the rear.. what can i say about this?

Ok let's try to fix those problems. for the rear I'll use some pieces of styrene to build something to fit the chassis

I had cut it in some parts

and got this result

For the front, i'll use some styrene tubes

To create some fitment point

Got this result

Made some tests..

Looks ok.. not perfect.. but .. ok..

First view of the car..

Thanks for all comments guys.. need to fix some things before go painting..

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

Transkits can sometimes be quite difficult, but I guess if your brave enough to attempt one then youve got the skills to pull it off ( & you definetly do)
Just me but i wouldnt dish the front wheel as much as the rear.

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

What's with Meko and those ugly looking rims. Other than that, nice to see you fixing those major problems. Looks great so far!

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

@Veyron
I'm not sure if it's shrunk or if it's just wrong..

@cjsbosox
I do recommend those rims.. it's awesome.. a bit expansive.. but it worth every cent

@da_ashman
I worked with transkits just once. Gemballa, but that can't be used as reference, cause the Gemballa fits perfectly!! I'll consider your suggestion regarding to the rims, i had that idea too.

@xpeed
I think that they tried to reproduce those Amuse rims as it is, it's not so ugly.. i just think that it doesn't fit with the car..

Just a few updates, a lot of fitment problems as you can see below

And what i did to fix the worse of the fitment problems

Rear spoiler sanded and ready to receive primer

That's it for now.. Thanks for all comments

Re: Nissan 370Z Amuse

It's a pain to have to fix so many correct problems and correct so many parts, but at least that lets us see all the great work you're doing on this model !!
As I see you already change the wheels, I'm wondering... Will you push further modifications once everything corrected or will you build it "as it is" ? I can't wait to see your paint scheme btw choice !!

Those aren't the original Amuse rims if you seen the actual photoshoot of the car. The original Amuse 370z car had Volks Racing CE28s. They later on changed it to BBS LM rims.

Just saying that Meko includes those ugly looking rims to all of their transkits.
