Oil light On
2007 Dodge Dakota 3.7L V6 2WD SLT
I was driving and the chime went off and I noticed the oil light came on. I was a little late for an oil change (a little over 5000km since last oil change) so I just popped in to a quick oil change place to have the oil change done. Oil level is fine but the light is still on. I tried two times to reset the light by turning the ignition on and pump gas pedal 3 times. (Instructions from the lube place) I figured after a few start stops the light would go out but hasn't yet. I assume this may mean low oil pressure or faulty switch? Temperature gage is behaving normally as well. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? Thanks, Mark |

Re: Oil light On
Dealer changed the oil pressure switch. Light is out for now. We'll see how it goes. Apparently this is fairly common.
Thanks, Mark |
