2008 Reliability 3.8l

Ok here goes. I bought mine with 24k it now has 65k here is the list.

Radio crapped out at 38k - Kia was proud to inform me that the electronics warranty expires at 36k but they offered to install a new one for a mere $385

Armrests have never stayed tight. Kia refused to fix them. They even once responded with "armrests wear out" They now all flop around or stay all the way down.

2 Idler Pulleys - 3rd is right around the corner.

AC Compressor

3 Headlamp bulbs - that's about 1 every 12k

Cigarette lighter port stopped working at 40k followed within 5k of the power port next to it.

Baby mirror broke after about 10 uses

Throttle Position Sensor at 50k

Transmission shifts rough when slowing down followed by acceleration and has since about 30k - Kia says no problem 10:1 odds they were hoping it lasted until 60k before it blew up. It lasted till 60k now whatever happens is not their problem.

Noisy valves since forever - Once again no problem

Has devoloped a loud tick/knock/ at startup that lasts about 20 seconds. I have heard rumors of a TSB if anyone knows please let me know.

BTW wait until you have to put struts on it. I won't even go there better have a good credit card.

NEVER EVER AGAIN. I traded in my Ford Windstar for this piece of crap. Can't wait to see what the next 60k has in store.

BTW my Windstars only problems outside of wear and tear were a bad EGR and sway bar bushings. I traded it in with 150k. I also have a Pontiac Sunfire with 230k that has never given me a lick of trouble.

KIA - (n.) Korean word when roughly translated to english means Piece Of S***
