F150 4.6 front intake heater tube repair

2000 F150 4.6
I have a pinhole leak at the base of the tube where it goes into the intake. The tube is available for $22 from the dealer.

Has anyone done a repair on this yet? I seen a couple on the rear tube and having to remove the intake. Cant find any info on the front tube, only the rear. Dealer was quoting $800+ but wouldn't go into details. I would have thought this should have been a screwed fitting...

Thanks,
Richard

Re: F150 4.6 front intake heater tube repair

FYI, I ended up soldering up the pinhole for the time being.

Will probably go look at the dealer tube anyway as it looks to be pressed in.
