Videos from TimeTrials @ Road Atlanta with NASA-SouthEast
Had a great weekend at Road Atlanta. Had a PR of 1:35.3 which wasn't bad for the track that weekend. My student had a blast, and the car behaved. Oh and I finished 1st in TTA both days
![]() 2nd session Saturday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol33VWrPX8Y 3rd Session Saturday Gotta love it when a $14k 121,000 mile used Z06 with minimal mods is being held up by a $200k Ferrari Challenge race car At least it sounds pretty.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWKSjwu5ZGI 1st Session Sunday - Warm-up First time testing smaller 255 tires all around and my NASCAR-style spoiler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRohaM9Nl-U 2nd Session Sunday - More Ferrari blockage, this time I have my spoiler on so he creeps on me on the straights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1qevhKXX7I 3rd Session Sunday - Yet again more Ferrari http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OoIFfKVjhU 4th Session Sunday - Finally posted a good enough time in the 3rd session to grid ahead of Mr. Ferrari. Ran my best lap of Sunday with a 1:36.1... track was slick and car was pushing a bit in certain areas. Need more testing with the spoiler and smaller tires. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAKm-Vf3rFo

Re: Videos from TimeTrials @ Road Atlanta with NASA-SouthEast
Not much in that with the Ferrari Brian. Surprised at how much he was giving away to you under brakes. Should have been part of his strong suit.
Good effort. I used to race against a Ferrari regualrly in Sports & GT over here when I had my mid 70's muscle car. He could gap me a bit in a straight line but once past him (normally on a high speed sweeper or under brakes) I had around 2 - 3 seconds a lap on him........go figure!?!

Re: Videos from TimeTrials @ Road Atlanta with NASA-SouthEast
Yeah I was chuckling to myself every time I'd reel him in braking, especially when going hard into 10A on the back straight. My car has stock calipers an a brake system that is complained about to no end on most forums.
Most of the time I'm maintaining more room than I needed in the twisty parts, I'd get close where I could make a run for a pass on the straights. Since it's TimeTrials and we're not racing for position I have to be careful so as to avoid any chance of car to car contact. You can lose your TT license for a year if you hit someone and it's not something uncontrollable like a mechanical failure. I nearly hit him in the 2rd session on Sunday around the 2:45 mark... he way over-braked coming into 6.
