Part identification

98 custom, 3.1, 202k

There is a pcv tube that looks like it connects to the bank 2 valve cover and connects about 2 inches from the throttle body into the air cleaner duct hose. I cannot get the tube connector (which has ribs on it) to go into and stay connected to the air duct hose. ( I did not try applying a touch of grease to see if it will attach then.) Can anyone tell me the part name or part number. It is not a vacuum line and I don't know what it's fuction really is.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Part number is GM 24504646.

I took the tube off today but I found that the valve cover did not have a grommet. Does anyone know if this is correct. The tube just seems to set in there. The Buick parts could not find a diagram with the grommet either.

thanks
