`05 1500 Transfer case leak

Today I noticed my transfer case is leaking right where the rear drive shaft comes out of it. I called the auto part store and they asked me what transfer case it was and i had no idea.

So my questions to you guys are,

1. How can i find out what case i have?
2. Is the fluid separate from the transfer case to the tranny, or do they share?
3. Is a new seal something i can do in a couple of hours in the driveway?

According to the '05 service manual, there's an ID tag on the rear of the transfer case.
See if there's an NV241, NV243, NV244, NV271 or NV273 on that tag.

Fluid is separate and yes, you can do the seal.

Old thread here, but I noticed my t-case was leaking when I did my last oil change. Any 'how to' threads on this procedure on here anywhere?
