boost question
I know if I look around I can find this but im lazy right now
how much boost can you safely put on a teg gsr with stock internals. I dont want a crap load of speed but just faster without throwing a whole lot of money into it? I was really thinking of a supercharger, maybe I can get the integra to make some bottom end also

8-9 intercooled boost with pump gas (93 octane)

cheap thrills, just get some Zex, or NOS, quick little boost for not much $$$, superchargers are kinda $$$ hungry and a turbo would give you decent $$ spendature, but I'd just stick a 50 shot of Zex or NOS for starters, you can do that safely without any internal mods (or many). anything beyond that and you'd probably want to build up the motor a bit.. if you are dying for a supercharger then I suggest you go look for a kit to fit your motor if one has been made.. personally I'd get a turbo though... I'm addicted to the hiss of a turbo..

8 psi? I was expecting a lot less with the GSR only about 5 or 6. how long could I run 8 without destroying something?
and as for the NOS, no thanks. all I need is a illegal, explosive tank in the interior of my car. I want all around power gain not just when I press the button. It’s a daily driver im not trying to do time runs.

for daily driven i would run 5-6 psi so i wont mess up any of my internals. once in a while if you want t risk it you can turn the boose to 8-9 psi but if and when you do get a apex-i super afc so you can get enuff fuel for that extra air.
good times! 1

yeah for daily driving get 5-6 and runfrom time to time a bit higher....just make sure you are always tuned properly(A/F ratio,timing)--->the most impotrtant thing

nitrous isnt explosive. its not a fuel. nitrous contains more oxygen than atmospheric air, so basically it just oxygenates the combustion process. If your car caught on fire and the nitrous tank broke open, it will fuel the fire, but it isnt explosive by itself.

running 7lbs daily should be fine on your internals, for a while, but eventually you'll need to rebuild just like if you ran 5lbs... regardless of how much boost you run you'll prolly eventually need to rebuild to some degree.

thats true of any car thats pushed, even factory so I understand that. but I just want to push what I can while keeping it as reliable as possible

I'd only recommend a supercharger if you had an automatic. Greddy sells cheap..well..inexpensive turbo kits...check that out if you want to just get more power without rebuilding the whole engine. they run about 5-6 psi which should be no problem for a daily driver.

stock internal gsr w/afc,fmu,440cc's, 255lhp intank, and proper tunning. 10psi on pump gas, 15psi on C16 and that's with a T4 60-1.
