Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

Since this isn't a 1:1 worth millions of dollars, I could paint it any color I liked and not diminish its value. I really like this paint scheme which I saw on the 1:1 250 pictured below and plan on using it on a couple more Ferraris. I read that you could preserve any body work necessary to hide the joint between the two body side pieces by installing the bulkhead after mating the body and frame. The method worked. Unfortunately the tight fit between the side scoop and the body disappeared because of paint build up, so the scoop should have been puttied too even if it is difficult to polish the paint in that area.

Beautiful work. I really like the color scheme. What blue did you use for the seats?

Great scheme. I'm a big fan of non red Ferrari's.

Re: Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

Very nice looking Ferrari. I like the color very much. It's different than the usual red an yellow ones. Great job.

Re: Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

The blue is Ford Grabber blue from MCW. A good match for the 1:1 pictured.

Re: Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

Nice livery, looks good in silver/blue. I have a 250 SWB #14 race car to build in that color scheme after seeing it in Vintage Motorsport and in person last year.
