1999 Nissan Maxima SE upgrade help please

I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima and just recently have decided to make this car into a snappy sleeper car. I have been researching using a 2000+ 350z engine with the 6 speed trans in the maxima but have found no real info that the engine/trans swap will go in my car. I do understand that modifications may be needed to make this happen. I also have also the response as to why i would want to make this enhancement to a bit dated model and my simple response is.. I love this car and if I am going to spend the money I would rather go this road then any chips/parts to enhance this vehicle and as far as what i have priced out a hopped up engine from the 350z series car which I also love but can't afford would cost me about the same amount for the engine that the upgrade to current engine would cost. I have researched forums on my question and this forum has stuck out over the others as there is a wealth of knowledge here so I coming here to ask you all what you think of this idea and if the mounting would be somewhat easy as far as the parts. Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Great! I'm glad to see that you've done a good bit of research on the topic.

I would say that doing this swap and staying inside the Nissan family *should be* easier than if you wanted to swap in a Corvette ZO6 engine, for example. I'm afraid I, personally, don't have the knowledge to answer your specific question. I'm hoping that in bumping your thread back up that someone else will spot this and can be of assistance!
